If you liked any of these titles, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll love Coven of Secrets. Why? Strap in and I’ll tell you. (Also, if you haven’t read them yet, you should TOTALLY add them to your TBR.)
If you’re into unlikely partners like Catherine & Bones from JEANNINE FROST’s HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE, then I can’t wait for you to meet Roxy & Ray in Coven of Secrets. Roxy’s not sure she can trust him, but with nowhere else to turn, she’s forced into an uneasy alliance, and the more she works with Ray, the more she realizes he’s just another temptation that could add to the ever-increasing magical missing persons count.
One thing I loved about KRESLEY COLE’s A HUNGER LIKE NO OTHER is the uniqueness factor of the lore she wove into her world, and the fact that it feels immersive and real. I built this world on a strong mix of instinct and exploration. Coven of Secrets brings my own special brand of magic to our contemporary world, taking place in a fictional town based loosely on the real town of Orange Beach, Alabama.
At first glance, J. R. WARD’s DARK LOVER and Coven of Secrets don’t seem to have all that much in common. On closer inspection, if you like a dark fantasy atmosphere and paranormal characters under fire, surrounded by ever-increasing threats, you’re definitely going to want to give Coven of Secrets a read.
If you liked the high-stakes suspense feels of KAREN MARIE MONING’s DARKFEVER, there’s a good chance you’re going to be drawn to Coven of Secrets, too. There’s plenty of darkness and an ongoing mystery that’ll leave you breathless with every twist. There are seven more books planned for the Bayshore Witch Legacy series, so you’ll have plenty of time to get to know these characters as I release this series, too!
The thing I love most about PATRICIA BRIGGS’ MOON CALLED is that Mercy feels like an ACTUAL person who could be your best friend in real life. She’s relatable, not over-powered and invincible, funny, and–in some ways vulnerable. Many advance readers of Coven of Secrets loved how real and well-rounded they felt Roxy is. If you’re looking for a complex heroine who is by no means perfect and has room to grow and develop as a person, definitely give Coven of Secrets a read.
