About Curses, Lies, and Alibis

Being cursed might not be the worst thing that ever happens to Roxy Cole.

Being a teenage witch isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Roxy has always accepted what her Coven says as truth, even if she secretly resents their rules. But now she’s met someone whose very existence makes her doubt everything she thought she knew.

If none of the rules she’s played by her whole life are valid, what’s to stop her from doing what she wants? What’s to stop her from claiming the magic that should have been hers all along? What’s to stop her from transforming herself from an outcast into girlfriend material for the most popular guy in school? What’s to stop her from getting even with the girl who’s made her life a living hell ever since kindergarten?

Will claiming her magical birthright come with a price — and will she pay with her life?

Epigraph

“The flip side of mending is breaking. We’re trained to appear strong and often feel guilt or shame when we break. But unmaking is as much a part of the cycle as making.”
–Maia Toll, The Illustrated Herbiary
